📍Overland Track, Tasmania 🏔️🥾

The Overland Track is Tassie’s most iconic multi-day hike. A 65 kilometer journey through alpine plains, glacial lakes and ancient rainforest from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair. Only a limited number of hikers are allowed on the trail each day during the main walking season (1 October to 31 May), and permits are in high demand. If it’s on your bucket list, mark your calendar now: permits for the 2025–26 season open 1 July and spots go fast.
